strobe-lit, romantic “recession pop” that, while fun, never feels careless or thrown together. From opener “Kiss Me,” this record is basically electropop perfection from beginning to end, and it approaches the genre with both irony and affection. Edgier production choices every now and then prevent it from sounding too generic or overly nostalgic. Definitely a good listen for anyone who enjoyed Ninajirachi’s “I Love My Computer.”
